When, within the framework of the EDTI project, we inquired designers about their favourite mode of delivery for training, they mainly answered: by practice! Taking this information into account when developing our training courses at Design Innovation, we reinforced this aspect turning some ‘seminar-like’ courses into workshop.

EDTI surveys take a step further with 3pod!

Launched in November 2008, 3pod is a European project in the framework of the Interreg programme – Nord-Pas de Calais (FR) and Hainaut (BE). Its objectives are fostering integration of design among companies, reinforcing entrepreneurial skills among the design industry, benchmarking the region and developing a cross-boarder online platform.
Tackling Continuous Professional Development, 3pod partners decided to build on the conclusions and recommendations as expressed in the EDTI White Book concerning the audit of training needs.

EDTI further collaborates with Cumulus!

Throughout the first phase of the project, EDTI has been in close contact with the Cumulus network. Cumulus is a global association to serve art and design education and research. It is a forum for partnership and transfer of knowledge and best practices. Cumulus consists currently of 169 members from 43 countries.

Cumulus has initiated working groups that are a member initiative activity. These working groups address various themes such as Sustainability, Digital Culture, Research, Benchmarking, Staff Development, Virtual University, Glass Art and Design, Fashion and Textile, Industrial design, Interior design…
